Pearl Jam – Releases The Fixer online

Pearl JamPearl Jam, one of my favourite bands, have released the first single ‘The Fixer’ from their upcoming September released album, ‘Backspacer’.

Many people have criticised their apparent lack of invention over the years with the likes of Coldplay and U2 heading off on marketing tangents to recreate themselves.

Pearl Jam on the other hand seem to have stuck to their guns with this release, with Eddie Vedder and gang in guitar driven alt rock, all be it with a few harmonies thrown in.

I for one love Leeuwin Estates Cabernet Merlot, I love my taco’s, Friday night footy, a coffee in the morning, and my mum’s roast.  If it aint broke don’t fix it is my point.  Yep Coldplay did a sterling job, but not all music needs to change for the sake of music critics. Their is plenty other stuff out there so if you don’t like the lack of change listen to something else.

They don’t have anything to prove.

Here’s a sneak peak.  Rock on.

Yeah I'm liking it. I liked the last album also, with my favourite actually being Yield.
