I’ve just risen above Missy Higgins on mp3.com.au

And what a lofty perch this is. Just above me I can see um…some other songwriter, who is probably looking down thinking, jeez that Dave Anderson is flying up the ladder. He just took down Missy. Better get offensive and stream some of my own songs. That’s right Mike. You better be scared. I’m gunning for ya.That’s the funny thing though. I haven’t streamed my own songs. Nor do I really know anyone who uses this site. Nor have I read anything online about it.

I declared war on triple J unearthed once. Sent in 4 computers, and 3 browsers (safari, explorer and firefox) into battle. Each constantly refreshed one of my songs for 4 days until the internet at home got surprising slow.

I immediately blamed the little porky teenager next door. He just looks so smug. He took down my soldiers just 1 spot from the line. That’s right I was number 2 on the charts. Nothing happened when I got there though. Not sure why I was fighting so hard.

Worse thing was I had no internet for the entire weekend cos we got shaped for overuse. I rang telstra and pleaded my case.

I said to the Indian fellow that I was out gunning for number 1 on unearthed. To cut me some slack and help me bulster my forces by giving me some extra juice.

I reckon he would have come to the party if I could have only remembered my f*&ken; username which is in my old flatmates name and apparently can’t be changed.

Idiots.
